Rebates and Incentives

Lower your cost for new heating or cooling equipment with rebates and attractive financing options.

Continuing public support for the reduction of our nation’s dependence on oil and gas — especially that which is imported from other countries — has led many state governments, energy providers and equipment manufacturers to offer significant rebates for high-efficiency heating and cooling components.

Generally speaking, the higher the efficiency of a new air conditioner, heat pump or furnace, the greater the savings. Rebates from agencies like Mass Save® can be combined with those from manufacturers like Carrier® to add up to a savings that may be as much as one-fifth the project cost, including installation!

In addition to the up-front savings, your monthly energy bills should decrease dramatically, and your family’s year-round comfort will improve significantly.

Your Central Cooling & Heating consultant will help you pinpoint the best rebate offers, and our office staff can handle much of the paperwork for you. Here’s a current snapshot of the available incentives:

Mass Save

This state agency has partnered with regional energy providers to develop one of the best programs for savings on heating and cooling equipment in the nation. Central Cooling is a certified and fully accredited Mass Save partner — having met the agency’s stringent requirements for contractors.

Carrier Rebates

Perhaps the most enlightened heating and cooling manufacturer in the industry is Carrier Corporation. This company was the first to introduce an environmentally friendly refrigerant for air conditioning equipment — called Puron® — and produces among the highest-efficiency furnaces and heat pumps on the market. They offer a terrific rebate program for both cooling and heating systems. Central Cooling is New England’s largest and most awarded Carrier dealer, and we are firm believers that this manufacturer is the most advanced for air conditioning technology and reliability.

The commonwealth’s residential HEAT Loan Program provides 0% loans from participating lenders for qualified energy-efficient improvements in residential homes. Loans are available up to $25,000 with terms up to 7 years (depending on the loan type). A home energy assessment is required by Mass Save; our Central Home Energy division is qualified to perform this assessment.

Mass Save

Don’t take out a second mortgage or home equity line of credit to finance your new heating and cooling system. Carrier’s 12-Month Finance Program allows qualified homeowners to pay NO interest for 12 months with regular minimum payments. (Note: after the first 12 months your balance will be subject to interest.) This finance program can be applied to purchases of all of Carrier’s heating, cooling, and indoor air quality equipment.

The state of Massachusetts has introduced a program where homeowners receive Alternative Energy Credits when they acquire highly efficient heating and cooling systems such as Infinity heat pumps (with Greenspeed intelligence) from Carrier or Hyper-Heat heat pumps from Mitsubishi Electric. Central Cooling is an authorized dealer for both of these brands, and our staff can help you decide which system could be right for you — then assist with the processing so that you receive a check after the installation is completed.
